Where would I be, if not for His graciousness...

In need of grace to love Him more... as He says: "Oh that they had such a heart in them to fear Me and to guard all My commands always, so that it might be well with them and their children forever!" ~ Debarim 5:29 "Teach me Your ways, O Yahweh, that I may walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name." ~Tehillim 86:11

Clifford and a little Library History

Clifford was at our local library for their 50 anniversary. Noah absolutely loves Clifford, so of course we had to get pictures :D

I am so thankful for our libraries and all they offer for our community. And I am glad my children see it as a "treat" to go. Thanks CCPL!

The Library Company

Founded by Franklin in 1731

Library Company
Most Americans in the 1730s had limited access to books. Books, in early America, were rare and expensive. There were no public libraries. Only the very wealthy and the clergy had access to large numbers of books. Even men of moderate means could not readily afford books. Enter Benjamin Franklin.

On July 1, 1731, Franklin and a group of members from the Junto, a philosophical association, drew up "Articles of Agreement" to form a library. The Junto was interested in a wide range of ideas, from economics to solving social woes to politics to science. But they could not turn to books to increase their knowledge or settle disputes, as between them they owned few tomes. But they recognized that via the Junto's combined purchasing power, books could be made available to all members.

So it was that 50 subscribers invested 40 shillings each to start a library. Members also promised to invest 10 shillings more every year to buy additional books and to help maintain the library. They chose as their motto a Latin phrase which roughly translates as "To support the common good is divine." Philip Syng, a silversmith who would one day create the inkstand with which the Declaration and Constitution were signed, designed the Company's seal.

I am thankful for my best friend who lives several hundred miles away, yet it never seems to matter when it matters!
I am thankful for the new month, the new season, and the new challenge.

I give you praise this day O Lord, my Rock, and my Salvation!

The Promise for those, who walk in the Torah of YHWH!

Simple Faith

The entire Word of YHWH, both “Old” and “Renewed” Covenants, is the instruction of a loving and gracious Father to His children. It is the perfect and unchanging law that gives us liberty (Ps. 119:44-45; James 2:24-26). Nothing will pass from the whole word of YHWH, until everything that will happen, has happened. (Matt 5:17-20). YHWH’s people delight in His instruction (Ps. 1:2). The Torah was not given for salvation. It is the loving instruction of how a redeemed people should live. Yeshua kept His Fathers commandments and lived in His love. We are instructed to walk as He walked (1 Jn. 2:3-6). We are to obey YHWH’s commandments and to hold to the testimony of Yeshua (Rev. 12:17).
