Our Schedule lends us:
80 days/ 16 weeks "Vacation"
200 days / 40 weeks "School"
As we wrap up our 2009-2010 year of homeschooling, I am very pleased with "schooling" year round. We used a similar schedule this year, and will continue it as long as it "works" for our family. This schedule is of course flexible enough to change. It allows for time off for Biblical Holidays, sick days, or just because days... Light weeks are considered our "winter and pre-summer" breaks, with more "fun" learning and less "seat" work. I have found it is less stressful for myself and the children. And I am hoping to cut out all the review of the previous year because of a LONG summer break. We believe in an atmosphere of learning for LIFE, and not for "school", so our learning continues whether it is "on the books" or not =o) We are finishing up year 3 of our homes-cool experience. What have you found that works for you? Link up and share, all things related to your Homes-Cool (scheduling, subjects, styles, etc...)

This is will be my first "official" homeschooling year. I like your set-up. I think I will give it a try. I was looking for something like this for our school year. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Loni,
I was going to email you, but the email icon wouldn't do anything for me. So you don't have to post this comment. :)
Over on my blog you responded to my question to you about getting help with my blog. If you are still willing to do that I would love to ask you a few questions. You can email me at mnksleeth@sbcglobal.net if that would be easier than posting back and forth on the blogs.
Thanks!!!
Have a great day. ~Kim
I really like this, I will have to play with it, which calendar type did you use????
It has worked well for us. The calendar type I used is the 14 month school calendar. You can download it along with other free calendars here:
